Some of you may not know that we get snow. Lately, A LOT of it. This photo is from the first storm. We have had a couple more storms since. I am so glad we get a white Christmas. The white snow on the red rocks with the green trees and blue sky is so beautiful. We are so fortunate to live here. In more ways than one.

Happy Birthday Tess! Every birthday I tell the kids the story about the day they were born. This year I got all choked up. Where does the time go? TWELVE. Wow! We are so blessed to have Tess in our lives. I would post her favorites, but I am certain Tess would want to be a part of that post, so I will wait till we are together.

Unknown Paradise

Erin's legs are not really that beautiful tan color. She played "mud spa" and it is "Fnar" the secret to beautiful soft skin.

Summer went by way to fast. I started the summer wanting to take a new hike a week. As you can tell from my gut and hips that didn't happen. I took the kids and a couple friends to our FAVORITE HIKE, Mossy Cave. We hiked further than usual finding a lot of other water falls and natural water slides. I told Erin it was like an unknown paradise. She asked if I thought we were the only ones that knew about the spot. That was funny when we ran into the 50 Japanese tourists. The older girls jumped in the falls. The tourists watched and wanted to, but they were too afraid. A tourist family from England asked if they could take a picture of Mallory. I said sure. I wonder why? Will he tell the chaps back home how one crazy mom took her child and sat her in freezing cold, rocky water? "That's how those Americans are." Maybe he just thought she was so dang CUTE! We had a great day and of course I couldn't take a picture of me hiking back with Mallory in my arms fast a sleep. The tourists loved that. My thoughts were, "I must be burning a lot of calories hauling Mallory, especially since she is dead weight, and it would be ok to eat an extra ice cream sandwich at the end." So I did. Ta Ta.

7 Quirks and Birthday Wishes

1. I cry when I leave Disneyland

2. I LOVE audio books

3. I talk LOUD
(maybe it's because I have worked with geriatric patients for so long)

4. I move furniture, A LOT

5. I over think after I speak or write

6. I unconsciously pull a weird face when I look in a mirror

7. When I read a diet book or article I HAVE to eat a quarter pounder with cheese. If someone talks about all the gross stuff in a hot dog, I crave one.

One more bonus quirk. When people are called their abbreviations i.e. T.J., A.J. I find out their real name and call them that. However, it's ok if I nickname them myself. Right A.T. and E.J.

A SHOUT out to my brother Justin, and nephew, Denali. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! It seems like just yesterday dad was lifting us up the outside window of the old American Fork Hospital to get a peak at you. I have loved you loads ever since. Traci

Duke the best dog evar!!!!!He's a Toy Fox Terrier. He loves to bark at people. If I'm feelin blue I'll let him out of the house and he runs across the street to the Visitors Center and barks at all the tourists. If I'm in a real bad mood I'll let him follow us to church where he barks at all of the members. LOL. Btw all the cool posts are from Mike.

Scrambler at Imperial Point N.R.G.C. Grin.

Troy on his Harley on the way to the N.R. of The G.C. We stopped a rest area to well rest. That's my Triumph scrambler in the forefront.

Last summers trip to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Beautiful. The date should read 8/13/2007. Hey Jerry and Clay we need to take this trip by the end of Sept. otherwise it could snow and we will never make it.

Fourth of July

Ok, ok, I will post again and try to add some pictures. My menu bar is in Chinese so I couldn't figure out how to post. I hope everyone had a great fourth. We had a lot of fun here. Diana, Clay and clan came and Justin and Lindsay with their clan were close behind. The weather was great and the company better. We went on a neat hike to a nearby slot canyon, ate at the fireman's bbq, some went fishing and to a shooting range, we ate good food (thanks Diana) saw fire works, the kids got wet and muddy several times over and Justin rode a real live bull. What a weekend it's hard to see it end.
